The collection is comprised of artistic medals and other small relief sculptures that were collected within the Rinehart School of Sculpture. Many of the medals were created by artists through the auspices of the Society of Medallists, sometimes for the Society's annual edition.
The collection also includes pieces made by people affiliated with the Maryland Institute as alumni or faculty.
Records pertaining to buildings, including the Market Place building (ca. 1851-1904), the Main Building on Mount Royal Avenue, and the Mount Royal Station Building. Includes specifications, correspondence and blueprints.
Drawings of floral subjects in various media, including pencil, ink, watercolor, created by Sophia L. Crownfield. Some paintings in oil are included. The drawings were studies in different stages of development toward designs for textile patterns, to be produced in silk for the woman’s dress-silk trade. Some examples of silk textiles that were the result of the drawings are included.
The series consists of publications from the years of MICA's founding in 1826 through 1907. They are a combination of original documents and print-outs from PDF files made from documents owned by the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, MD. Most of these documents were digitized to PDF files during research for MICA: Making History/Making Art.

The posters are part of an ongoing series.
The collection consists of 187 photo-reproduction prints (most in color) made by the William Henry Jackson and the Detroit Photographic Company.
